Presentation of a new vehicle to Lincoln Community Care was the culmination of renewed support of the organisation by Lincoln Rotary...
Lincoln and Districts Community Care ( was established in 1978 with support from Lincoln Rotary, to provide services in rural areas that town-based people enjoyed. It  has grown over the intervening 40 years from a few volunteers operating out of tiny accommodation to 3 full time staff and a purpose built 260 m2 facility, which also accommodates the Nurse Maude district nurses.
With growth in the areas served, Lincoln Rotary was recently approached to assist with a transport problem.  It quickly became obvious the solution was to provide a suitable car but funding available from Lincoln Rotary and the Rotary Foundation, matched by Community Care funding, left a 'gap' to the cost of a suitable vehicle. However an approach to Miles Toyota was successful and a Toyota Corolla hatchback was secured. Thanks to Rotary and Miles Toyota, Lincoln Community Care can continue to grow.
