“Bruce” has been a long time favourite of the children’s playground at the Canterbury Steam Preservation Society (Steam Scene) property at McLean's Island. He was in need of a makeover by way of a paint job.
One Saturday morning in October a small group of Rotarians had a lot of fun together transforming “Bruce” from a old and faded blue to shining red and black colour scheme.
Whilst a simple project, it assisted the not-for-profit community group in updating and maintaining its assets and provided visiting children with the opportunity to continue to play on their beloved steam engine.
